Fontana Ridge is located six miles from Bryson City, North Carolina (see map), overlooking the Tuckasegee River and Smoky Mountains National Park. Bryson City offers various dining options, shopping and recreation and outdoor activities which includes the well-known Smoky Mountain Railroad and Nantahala Brewing Company. Just a few minutes away is the Nantahala River, which offers level 3 white water rafting, canoeing, hiking and mountain biking. Cherokee Reservation is 10 miles away. The Appalachian Trail access points are nearby. Bryson City is the westernmost entry point to the Smoky Mountain National Park.
